Because so many systems in the body are damaged from this condition, it can be extremely uncomfortable and difficult to manage. The complications from lupus vary from kidney failure, an increased risk of pneumonia, anemia, strokes and more. It is also important to note that developing lupus also increases one’s risk of cancer.
