“Our life is frittered away by detail. Simplify, simplify.” — Henry David Thoreau
With the weight of our responsibilities, personal lives and relationships, life is rarely simple.
The more that we have going for us, the higher potential we have for something going wrong. Even the most organized, well-planed individual can find it difficult to cope with the stress that accompanies even the best opportunities. Sometimes, we find ourselves too ambitious, only being able to put an ounce of energy into many different things at once. We fear that life is too short, that we need to seize each and every day for its full potential. This is true, but it is also true that sometimes, we can accomplish more by taking on less.

Lyme disease is a serious and complex condition caused by Borrelia bacteria.
The disease itself is attained through a tick bite. Quickly after the inception of the infection, a series of symptoms will most likely occur between 3 to 30 days. These symptoms include (but are not limited to) an itchy rash that can be up to twelve inches across, fever, and severe joint pain. If treated quickly, the disease can be cured with relatively no complications. However, some people don’t develop symptoms from the infection, which contributes greatly to the severity of the disease in the long run.
More serious complications from Lyme Disease include memory loss, chronic fatigue, severe migraines, heart palpitations, and the most severe being neurological problems that are sometimes irreversible.

Sleep Apnea is a chronic disorder in which an individual has irregular breathing during sleep.
This breathing irregularity occurs at intraverbals, typically lasting seconds to minutes. Although this habit seems negligible, it prevents an effective, healthy sleep pattern from occurring. This results in extreme daytime fatigue, moodiness, and sometimes, even depression.
Since this condition, that nearly 18 million Americans are projective to have, occurs during sleep, it is extremely tricky to diagnose. Individuals can go a very long time without even realizing they have sleep apnea, and struggle to find the cause of their endless exhaustion. Even doctors have a hard time diagnosing sleep apnea, as there are no physical indicators that one has the condition.

In fact, being selfish might just help the world be a better place.

“Every generation is inculcated in traditions of prejudice which are encouraged as normal, natural and healthy.” ― Bryant McGill
Between the baby boomer generation and generation y, a lot of things are done differently.
Both groups grew up in very different political, social, and economic conditions. Both generations faced completely unique challenges, had dramatically different role models, and remarkably distinct cultures. With genY rising as the dominant generation, there is an undeniable sense of bias, resentment, and inequality between the two age groups. In a world constantly at odds with itself, a generational discrimination adds a new layer of complexity to our cultural landscape.
